New Gad Valley Parking

Snowbird’s Entry 1 parking lot received a makeover this summer. The two-level, paved parking lot includes stairs and a green strip in the middle to allow easier access to cars and the slopes.

The main entrance to Gad Valley from the parking lot is now located by the new Creekside Lodge, just steps away from the Gadzoom high-speed quad. For added convenience, UTA will add a bus stop in Gad Valley.

The new parking lot also includes a curb and gutter system and a sediment pond filtering system that keeps much of the automobile and parking lot waste out of Little Cottonwood Creek.

Snowbird, Alta, Town of Alta and the Utah Department of Transportation has joined forces to build a salt and sand storage area in the new parking lot which will reduce the amount of trips the plows have to take up and down the canyon.
