Snowbird Athlete: Pip Hunt
Name and nickname(s):
Phillipa Hunt, Pip
Age:
21
First time on skis:
1 ½, I literally learned how to walk and was strapped onto a nice pink and white plastic pair of skis.
Hometown:
Crested Butte, Co
Why Snowbird:
Because Snowbird is awesome! At the ‘Bird I can always find someone to ride with in the tram line, ski lines that scare me, and I am always really tired at the end of the day
Favorite run at Snowbird:
Baldy
Inside tip for skiing Snowbird:
Follow Carston, not me
If I could ski with any three people (living or deceased) at Snowbird I would choose:
Asher Crank, Molly Baker, Carston Oliver, and Andy Sabatier, ok so that’s four, but it happens!
If I wasn’t a pro skier I’d be:
I have no idea, probably writing about something other than skiing.
Something people would be surprised to know about me:
I didn’t really enjoy skiing till I was 14, I really wanted to be a ballerina instead.
I’m inspired by:
On the mountain; my friends who are out there smiling and pushing themselves everyday. In life; passion.
Best mountain culture slang word or phrase:
style style style STEEZ
What you’ll find on my nightstand:
I always have my journal, water, vitamins and whatever book I’m currently reading, which is currently Vineland by Thomas Pynchon
To unwind, I…
drink wine, cook a big dinner, read a book or write.
Grape Nuts or Lucky Charms?
Neither, I’m gluten intolerant, go Puffins!! Peanut butter flavour is the best!
