What is a Private Club?
One of Utah’s unique customs is the requirement that all full-service bars must be called “private clubs.” This simply means that a membership is required before a patron may enter a lounge. When Snowbird’s lodging guests check into their hotel, they will receive a temporary “visitor card” membership to use at all four Club at Snowbird lounges. Other visitors to Snowbird may purchase visitor cards for only $4.
This is how it works:
Each visitor card is valid for up to 3 weeks. The card – holder may be accompanied by up to seven friends when visiting a lounge.
Frequent visitors may choose to purchase a yearly membership for only $15.
Memberships are available at any of the club lounges. Only one membership card is necessary to use all four Club at Snowbird lounges: The Aerie Lounge, Lodge Bistro Lounge, Wildflower Lounge and El Chanate Cantina (formerly Keyhole Cantina).
The Tram Club is privately operated and requires its own membership.
Remember to bring your membership card along each time you visit a lounge.
All lounge patrons must be at least 21 years old.
