Yes, you can fly fish in the winter. In fact some of the best fly fishing of the year comes in the middle of winter. The water flows are down which forces fish to school up more in deep runs and pools. Fish realize that food sources are fewer and smaller during colder months, so they feed more frequently. Sow bugs, midges, beatis, and stoneflies always produce lots of fish on our waters during this time. So if you need a day to rest from the slopes or just need a day away come spend the day on a river with us. See you on the water.
Fly fishing trips include all of your fishing gear and a snack with water. Full-day fly fishing trips include a deli-style lunch that you will enjoy along the banks of one of Utah’s spectacular rivers. For a personal touch, your guide will personally hand tie your flies specifically for your day of fishing.
