Instructor Training AcademyEver wondered what it would be like to teach skiing or snowboarding? How do the Pros get ready for the season? Do YOU have what it takes? The Snowbird Mountain School is conducting a hiring academy to fill instructor positions for the 2010-2011 season. The “Instructor Training Academy” will evaluate and provide coaching for communication skills, guest service awareness, teaching skills and skiing/riding skills. Entry-level positions are available for non-certified instructors interested in teaching primarily children and youth ages 3-15. Advanced teaching positions may also be available for experienced certified instructors. And if you just want to ‘tune up’ for the coming season, this is the most economical and informative way to begin your season. Groups will be split between those desiring a position on the school and those who are merely seeking coaching and personal challenge.

Due to the unique quality of our resort location, there are times when Little Cottonwood Canyon road and/or lift access is delayed due to avalanche danger. In these cases we monitor the situation closely and send programs out as soon as there is staff available and conditions warrant. Circumstances change with each situation and therefore it is important for guests to communicate with our staff. If lessons are missed due to these extreme circumstances, we will make every effort to accommodate our guests. Unless otherwise indicated, children’s programs are for 3 – 6 year olds, youth programs are for 7 – 15 year olds, and adult programs are for age 16+. mountainschool@snowbird.com |
