Spring 2009 at Snowbird
Thanks For A Great Season!
Due to the warm May temperatures and recent rain, Snowbird will not be able to offer any additional skiing and riding this spring. The snowcat operators spent most of Wednesday working on some areas of Little Cloud that had very little snow, large rocks and, in one case, a small river. They were able to get some coverage on almost everything but not enough to safely support even a day of skiing. We had hoped to offer two more weekends, but cannot do so with the amount of snow on the upper mountain. As a result, we are done skiing and riding for the year.
Many thanks to everyone who made this year a great one. Our season lasted 194 days and we received over 600 inches of snow. Thank you!
The Tram is open for foot passengers daily from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., weather permitting. Summer activities will open for the season Saturday, June 13.
