Snowbird Celebrates 50th Season with Birdstock: An Opening Day Event
Snowbird, Utah – The 2021-22 season marks Snowbird’s 50th anniversary since opening in 1971. In celebration, Snowbird invites guests to Birdstock: An Opening Day Event, on Dec. 1, 2021.
Snowbird’s 50th season will kick off with top-to-bottom skiing in Gad Valley via the Tram, Gadzoom and Little Cloud, with advanced and expert terrain available. Opening day festivities, including a DJ, limited edition giveaways, contests and more, will take place at the base of Gadzoom as guests await first chair, scheduled for 9 a.m. Attendees are encouraged to sport ‘70s-inspired attire and gear.
“We are proud to be ushering in our 50th season here at Snowbird,” said President and General Manager Dave Fields. “Our golden anniversary provides a special opportunity to not only reflect on our incredible history but also to celebrate what’s to come. We look forward to sharing the year-long celebration with our guests, employees and community.”
Tickets will be available at both the Snowbird Center and Creekside Ticket Office and Snowbird Mountain School will be offering private lessons with advanced reservations. Dining, equipment rentals and retail will be available at both the Snowbird Center and Creekside Lodge. No beginner terrain will be open.
