Sip In The Official Start Of Summer At Snowbird’s Eighth Annual Brewfest

Brewfest takes place over Father’s Day Weekend offering craft brew beer, live music, and Snowbird Summer Activities  


SNOWBIRD, UT –  Snowbird Ski and Summer Resort proudly commences summer operations with new on-mountain guest facilities and a healthy schedule of family fun events. Summer activities begin Saturday, June 18, and go through early October. The events at Snowbird this summer include outdoor concerts, mountain bike races, adventure races, free family movie nights, nature tours, and the world renowned Oktoberfest celebration. The first of these festivals begins with the 2016 Brewfest. This event runs for two days Saturday, June 18, through Sunday, June 19.Snowbird’s annual Father’s Day BBQ also accompanies the opening weekend of  summer activities with outdoor entertainment, spa specials, and delectable dining options.

“The opening weekend for Snowbird summer activities is bigger than ever with the combination of our eighth annual Brewfest, Father’s Day festivities, and our summer attractions located on Chickadee Hill, ” says Dave Fields, Vice President of Resort Operations. Fields further states “There is no better place to celebrate Father’s Day than at Snowbird, after an incredible meal families can embark on a hike with dad or send him up to the spa for some well-earned relaxation time ”.

Twenty-six  local and national breweries will be pouring at the 2016 Brewfest at Snowbird. Admission to Brewfest is always free, attendees must pay for all beverages. Each participating brewer will be sampling three to five different beers highlighting their distinctive craft. Snowbird will provide food for purchase during Brewfest. More than two dozen local craft vendors will also have merchandise for sale. Live music will be provided each day from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.

An eclectic mix of local and national brewers will be in attendance: Payette Brewing Co., Epic Brewing, Utah Sessions Series by Epic Brewing, Moab Brewery, Roosters Brewing Co., Squatters Craft Brewery, Wasatch Brewery, Schofferhofer, Samuel Adams, Park City Brewery, Leinenkugel’s Brewery, Lagunitas Brewing Company, Boulder Beers, Deschutes Brewery, Mike’s, Angry Orchard, Red Rock Brewing Co., Uinta Brewing Co., Bohemian Brewery, Mountain West Cider Company, Bonneville Brewery, Ska Brewing Co., Small Town Brewery, Pabst and, Proper Brewing Co. and Ballast Point.

On Sunday, June, 19, the Father’s Day BBQ on the Plaza Deck will yield a hearty mix of traditional fire grilled foods. Families can choose Creamy Potato Salad, Hamburgers, BBQ Braised St. Louis Ribs, Jerked Chicken, Shaved Ice and much more. Enjoy all the fixings with nothing for dad to fix himself. Prices are $28for adults, $17for kids, all children 6 years old and younger eat for free. For families looking to get an earlier jump on Father’s Day celebrations, The Atrium at Snowbird will offer a Father’s Day brunch from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Enjoy breathtaking mountain views from The Atrium while dining on a specially crafted menu from Chef Bruce Phillips and Pastry Chef Anna Hirst. Offering year-round fun for the families and individuals alike, Snowbird summer activities are open daily beginning June 18, including The Aerial Tram, Alpine Slide, Peruvian Chairlift and Tunnel, Mountain Flyer, Mountain Coaster, Climbing Wall, Bungee Trampolines, Vertical Drop and Ropes Course. The Summit, Snowbird’s newest guest facility located at 11,000 feet atop Hidden Peak will open on June 18, 2016.
