Snowbird Expands 2021-22 Season Community Give-Back Program

Snowbird, Utah – As part of Snowbird’s commitment to Play Forever, the resort is pleased to announce the continuation of Play Forever Wednesdays (formerly Play It Forward Wednesdays), a give-back program taking place weekly from January 5-April 27, 2022. As part of the program, Snowbird will donate $5 of every ticket purchased online or at the ticket window for qualifying dates to participating non-profit organizations, chosen based upon their commitment to increasing participation in the outdoors, protecting the environment or providing local relief.

“Last season Snowbird donated almost $14,000 through this program, which only spanned from mid-February to April,” said Snowbird President and General Manager Dave Fields. “Our hope is that by expanding the program this season to include more dates and more non-profits, we can continue to bolster and support our local community and environment while welcoming newcomers to our sport.”

The Play Forever Wednesdays program was developed through Snowbird’s corporate responsibility commitment, Play Forever, which aims to protect the environment and support Snowbird’s community. Proceeds are donated through the Snowbird Play Forever Fund, which has given almost $150,000 in donations to local and national organizations such as Protect Our Winters, Breathe Utah, Wasatch Adaptive Sports, Utah Food Bank, SOS Outreach, High Fives Foundation and more since its inception in 2020. Other Play Forever initiatives include participation in Ski Utah’s Discover Winter program, which works to introduce 200 people of color and diverse backgrounds to winter sports, the annual Little Cottonwood Canyon Cleanup Day, a composting program at the resort and much more.
