Summer Activities Open at Snowbird
SNOWBIRD, UT – Snowbird Ski and Summer Resort commences summer operations with kids activities and a healthy schedule of family fun events. Summer activities begin Saturday, June 10, and go through early October of 2017.
The events at Snowbird this summer include outdoor concerts, mountain bike races, adventure races, free family movie nights, nature tours, and the world renowned Oktoberfest celebration. The first of these festivals begins with the 2017 Brewfest. This event runs for two days Saturday, June 10, through Sunday, June 11. Winter skiing operations are scheduled to last through Father’s Day weekend allowing two options for guests, Snowbird Summer activities, and skiing on the upper mountain.
Twenty-eight local and national breweries will be attending the 2017 Brewfest at Snowbird. Admission to Brewfest is always free, attendees must pay for all beverages. Each participating brewer will be sampling three to five beers highlighting their distinctive craft. Snowbird will provide food for purchase during Brewfest. More than two dozen local craft vendors will also have merchandise for sale. Live music will be provided each day from noon to 6 p.m.
An eclectic mix of local and national brewers will be in attendance: Angry Orchard, Ballast Point, Bohemian Brewery, Bonneville Brewery, Deschutes Brewery, Epic Brewing, Green Flash Brewing, Henry’s Hard Soda, Lagunitas Brewing Company, Mike’s Hard Lemonade, Miller Brewery, Moab Brewery, Mountain West Cider Company, Pabst Blue Ribbon, Park City Brewery, Payette Brewing Company, Proper Brewing Company, Red Rock Brewing Company, Roosters Brewing Company, Samuel Adams, Schofferhofer, Ska Brewing, Squatters Craft Brewery, St. Killians, Stone Brewery Uinta Brewing Company, Utah Sessions Series by Epic Brewing Wasatch Brewery.
Snowbird summer activities are open daily beginning June 10, including The Aerial Tram, Alpine Slide, Mountain Coaster, Climbing Wall, Bungee Trampolines, Vertical Drop and Ropes Course. New kids activities for 2017 include Spider Mountain, kids ropes course and Tree Climber all in Chickadee Woods. All-Day Summer Activities Passes cost $49 for adults, and $39 for kids. Peruvian chairlift and tunnel is delayed due to snow. Expected opening of The Big Mountain mountain bike trail will be announced in early July
All-day lift tickets for skiing and snowboarding during the weekend of June 10-11 cost $54 for adults, children seven to 12 years of age can purchase lift tickets for $32. Summer skiing hours run from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. Skiers and snowboarders will upload on the Aerial Tram enroute to the Little Cloud Chairlift, and must download on the Aerial Tram at the end of scheduled skiing. All skiers and snowboarders are invited to check in with Snowbird Ski Patrol atop Hidden Peak for detailed daily information on ski conditions and open terrain.
