Mountain Surf Report

Good morning skiers and riders,

This is Matt with your Mountain Surf Report for Wednesday, April 24, 2024. It's a great time of year to practice your sun-chasing techniques to make sure you're hitting each part of the mountain at the best time. If you time it right, you can get some amazing creamy spring turns that will make you remember why you fell in love with skiing in the first place. And if you time it differently, you will still have an amazing time because, let's face it, there's nothing better than sliding on snow, regardless of the conditions.

It'll be warm again today with a high near 58. We're forecasted to get the edge of the storm tickling us tonight and tomorrow, with the bulk of the storm coming in Thursday.

Today is our final Play Forever Wednesday of the season and this week, five dollars from every ticket sale will be donated to the Maliheh Free Clinic. Click here to learn more about Play Forever Wednesdays and Snowbird's commitment to Play Forever. Thank you for a great season of supporting our non-profit partners and helping support our mission to play forever.

Please remember to ski and ride in control at all times and obey any posted signs and rope lines across the mountain. See you on the slopes.

Snowbird is scheduled to operate for skiing and riding through at least Memorial Day, conditions permitting.

  • Entry 1 is closed for the season. Parking is primarily available through Entries 2 and 4. There is no skiing access below the base of Little Cloud due to construction. You cannot ski down Creek Road to access parking on Wilbere Hill or in the Upper Gad Lot.
  • Mid-Gad, Wilbere, Gadzoom, Gad 2, Baldy Express, Chickadee (chairlift and conveyor), Baby Thunder and the Thunder Tube are closed. All other lifts remain open. Little Cloud now closes at 3 pm. There is no beginner terrain available at Snowbird for the remainder of the season.
  • May 6: Spring hours go into effect, with lifts operating daily from 8 am - 2 pm, conditions permitting.
  • May 12: Daily skiing ends. Snowbird will remain open Saturdays and Sundays (as well as Memorial Day), conditions permitting, for the remainder of the season.

*All lifts and terrain are subject to change based on current conditions. More information on lift operations and scheduling will be provided as spring progresses.
