Snowbird helps eradicate food insecurity.

In communities around the world the COVID-19 pandemic is bringing to light existing challenges but also incredible humanity. From isolation orders to business shut down mandates, it’s hard to find a community that hasn’t been impacted by the coronavirus and economic fallout. While this may leave some communities facing extra challenges in recovering in a post-pandemic world, at Snowbird we take our responsibility to support the community surrounding Little Cottonwood Canyon to heart.

Snowbird Donates to Utah Foodbank

For many years, Snowbird has partnered with Utah Food Bank in support of their mission to serve those in need throughout the state. Each fall, before ski season begins, we host a food drive for the Utah Food Bank. Guests receive a free foot-passenger Tram ride in exchange for a food or hygiene donation, and throughout the life of the event, approximately 80,000 pounds of food delivered have provided more than 65,000 meals for Utahns who face hunger. Last year, Utah Food Bank distributed 38 million meals in all 29 Utah counties, all free of charge.

Snowbird Partners with Utah Foodbank

Food is one of the largest needs in the Utah region right now. With ongoing support from businesses like Snowbird that host fundraising and food drive events on behalf of Utah Food Bank, together they can continue fighting hunger statewide and community-wide.
