Surfin' Into Spring at The Bird

 

Imagine this: You’re sitting on the Plaza Deck in your best party shirt. While looking out at Peruvian Gulch, your ski boots are still on as you sip a cold beverage and enjoy a snack from the Subie Surf Shack. You’re sore because you got just a little too pitted on the jump line of the Woodward Mountain Park, but not too sore to bust a move to live music at Plazapalooza. Your goggle tan is glowing and you know it’s only going to get better because, after a record-breaking winter, you’ll be skiing until *at least* Memorial Day.

We’re riding the wave of our biggest winter ever into a spring like never before with free spring skiing for 2023-24 Snowbird season pass holders, our first-ever Snowbird x Woodward collaboration and Plazapalooza—Snowbird’s spring music series. Spring is Better at 11,000 Feet

Blower pow is cool and all, but you can’t change our minds that spring is the best time of year at Snowbird. We don’t want you to miss out: Purchase a 2023-24 Summit Pass to ski for free all spring. That means at least 6 weeks of free skiing, where the corn snow is ready for harvest, the sun shines a little brighter and 40-degree days feel a little warmer. Grab your blades, your monoski or your speed shades and get to The Bird for skiing and riding. 

Snowbird x Woodward

Big lines, big terrain, big snowfall – we go big at Snowbird. So does Woodward. That’s why we’ve put our heads together to take spring at Snowbird to a new level. Our first-ever collaboration with Woodward brought a Snowbird x Woodward Mountain Park to Mineral Basin, off Baldy Express. Designed to encourage progression for people of all ability levels, everyone will have the opportunity to bring the heat this spring.

Not a Snowbird passholder and feeling left out of this powerhouse collab? We would have FOMO too. That’s why we’re hooking it up. Woodward Park City members can purchase discounted Snowbird tickets for only $69/day, while passholders at all Utah resorts, Ikon passholders and Epic passholders can purchase discounted Snowbird tickets for only $89/day, allowing you to ski bucket list lines at The Bird and hit the Woodward Mountain Park all in a day’s work. Snowbird x Woodward Mountain Park

Located off the Baldy Express lift, the Snowbird x Woodward Mountain Park includes small to medium-sized features perfect for getting barreled (or corked) and for warming up for Peace Park for the People. Built by industry leaders Snow Park Technologies, Effective Edge and the Woodward global teams, the Woodward Mountain Parks provides something for everyone, cultivating an intuitive on-mountain experience for novices and pros alike. The Snowbird x Woodward Mountain Park opened with a kickoff party including a DJ, swag, giveaways and more on April 15. 

Woodward Peace Park Championships 

Get ready to rethink what's possible in the park. Woodward Peace Park Championships are coming to Snowbird this May, and you're going to want to watch it. Hosted by Olympian and X Games gold medalist Danny Davis, Woodward Peace Park Championships embrace the creativity of snowboarding with this invite-only event, showcasing the best of the best on innovative features for three days of light-hearted competition in pursuit of the coveted Peace Park Axe. Spectate Woodward Peace Park Championships May 2-5 with live music and giveaways from “The Beach” and get inspired to compete on the same course as the pros at Peace Park for the People on May 6. 

Peace Park for the People

Ride along with the pros and embrace spring at The Bird at Peace Park for the People. Following the Woodward Peace Park Championships, the championship course and banked slalom will open to the public, allowing you to experience it yourself on May 6 and 7, and again May 12-14.  

Plazapalooza 

Keep it tight on the mountain, then get loose on the Plaza Deck every Friday-Sunday from 2-5 pm with Plazapalooza, Snowbird’s spring music series. Grab a beverage from the Subie Surf Shack and bust out your best ski-boot-dance-moves to artists like SkiiTour and Pink Skies. Spring’s a party and no one does it better than The Bird.

Spring is a busy time of year at The Bird—for good reasons. Make the most of your season with daily skiing and riding through May 14, then enjoy weekend-only skiing, riding and dancing on the Plaza Deck through at least Memorial Day.
