Guided Hikes

Step into the mountains.

Enjoy a guided hiking experience with local guides on trails within and around Snowbird. Options range from an easy round-trip walk following Little Cottonwood Creek, to a full-day excursion to the top of a local craggy summit. All guided hikes have access to awe-inspiring views of the Wasatch Mountains and the Salt Lake Valley.

• Hikes meet on the Plaza Deck (Level 3, Snowbird Center) with an elevation of 8,100 feet.
• We recommend bringing a long-sleeve layer, a hat, good hiking or athletic shoes, sunscreen and a backpack with a bottle of water and snacks (additional water, snacks and other supplies can be purchased at General Gritts, located on Level 1 of the Snowbird Center).

Group Hikes

Join us on a family-friendly guided exploration of Snowbird’s lower mountain. On these group hikes, you can learn about Snowbird’s history, wildflowers and the animals that call this place home. 

• Cost: $45 per person
• Skill Level: Beginner terrain but participants must have previous experience walking over 3 miles
• Age: 8 & older
• Distance: 3-4 miles
• Start Time: The guided hike schedule will be announced soon
• There is a 2-person minimum and an 8-person maximum per group

Private Hikes

Looking to get a little deeper into the woods? A private hike is the ultimate way to explore Snowbird. From waterfalls to wildflowers, your hike is fully customizable. Our experienced guides will work with you to select the ideal route based on your desired experience. 

• Cost: $130 per person
• Skill Level: Beginner, intermediate and advanced options available
• Age: All ages welcome
• Distance: 4-10 miles, typically
• Start Time: The guided hike schedule will be announced soon
• There is a 6-person maximum per group

Advanced reservations are required for all Guided Hikes, and are non-refundable within 7 days of the hike, if cancelled. All activities, lift openings, terrain access and hours of operation are conditions permitting and may change at any time.
