Guided Hikes

Step into the mountains.

Enjoy a private guided hiking experience with local guides on trails within and around Snowbird. Options range from an easy round-trip walk following Little Cottonwood Creek, to a full-day excursion to the top of a local craggy summit. All guided hikes have the opportunity for awe-inspiring views of the Wasatch Mountains and the Salt Lake Valley.

• Guided hikes will be offered from June 18 – September 24
• Most hikes will meet on the Plaza Deck at the Snowbird Center, with an elevation of 8,100 feet.
• We recommend bringing a long-sleeve layer, a hat, good hiking or athletic shoes, sunscreen and a backpack with a bottle of water and snacks (additional water, snacks and other supplies can be purchased at General Gritts, located on Level 1 of Snowbird Center).

Nature Hikes

Join us on a family friendly walk through Snowbird’s lower mountain where you can learn about Snowbird’s history, wildflowers and the animals that call this place home.

• Cost : $200 for a group up to 4 people. $25 per additional person with a max group size of 8
• Skill Level : Beginner terrain
• Distance: Approximately 2 miles
• Start Time: 10 am

Adventure Hikes

If you want to get a little deeper into the woods, we can customize a hike for you, with different changes in elevation and trail surface.  These hikes may travel through Snowbird’s world-class skiing terrain, or we can show you some other trails nearby.  May also include Tram or lift access.

• Cost: $100 for the first person. $50 per additional person with a max group size of 8 people
• Skill Level: Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced options available
• Distance: Typically 4 - 6 miles
• Start Time: 10 am

When the wildflowers are in their full glory, this will also be the best option for wildflower viewing.  Be sure to let us know if that is your passion, and we will schedule you with a guide that is as passionate about wildflowers as you, and in the time frame most likely to see some beautiful blooms.

Saturday Complimentary Hikes

Kick off your Saturday morning with a beautiful mountain experience. These group hikes will be approximately 2 miles, guided on Snowbird’s lower mountain trails. Minimum age is 8 years old.

• Cost: FREE
• Skill Level: Beginner terrain
• Distance: Approximately 2 miles
• Start Time: 10 am

While this guided hike is free, reservations are required.

Advanced reservations are required for all guided hikes, and are non-refundable within 7 days of the hike if cancelled. All activities, lift openings, terrain access and hours of operation are conditions permitting and may change at any time.
