About the Guides
Emilie Drinkwater
Emilie is an AMGA/IFMGA Mountain Guide with 25 years of guiding experience. She has a large depth of experience in technical mountain terrain. Plus, she is renowned for her first ascents and descents in India's Karakoram and Afghanistan's Hindu Kush mountains.
She prioritizes safety, risk management and good decision-making while still finding the best snow and terrain for the given conditions of any day. Her calm, approachable and welcoming demeanor makes for an enjoyable day of skiing and learning.
Jenna Malone
Jenna has been a guide with Powderbird since 2007. She works as a trauma PA, teaches avalanche classes for the American Avalanche Institute, ski patrols part-time at Alta and guides for the Utah Mountain Adventures' women’s season-long ski touring mentorship.
Jenna is one of the founders of the Women’s Avalanche Network and loves helping women build confidence on their skis and find the joy of skiing untracked powder.
