Observation Point Trail
A walk in the woods.
Hours
Closed for the Season
The Observation Point Trail is great for hikers of all ages and ability levels. This accessible hike begins from the Snowbird Center's Plaza Deck. To get there, enter the Snowbird Center, go up to Level 3 and then take the bridge across the creek to follow the trail.
This trail is free, paved, relatively flat and both wheelchair and stroller friendly, making it a great hike for little ones and families. You’ll walk for about half a mile among beautiful flowers, and hopefully some wildlife, before reaching the Observation Deck. Along the way, learn about the history, geology, flora and fauna of Little Cottonwood Canyon via educational interpretive signs. Hikers have spotted squirrels, deer and even an occasional moose, so keep your eyes peeled. The Observation Deck overlooks the ski resort and the canyon below, so young children can enjoy the incredible mountain views without a steep climb.
