All You Need to Know for June Skiing and Snowboarding at Snowbird

It might be June, but Snowbird Surf Season isn't over just yet. After a brief hiatus for scheduled Tram maintenance (and installing our brand-new Tram Rooftop Balconies!), Snowbird is reopening its slopes for one last weekend of skiing and riding, June 17-18. We hoped to make it to July 4, but Mother Nature had other plans.

Mountain Operations

Snowbird is scheduled to operate the Tram and Little Cloud Express for skiing and riding on Saturday, June 17, and Sunday, June 18. The Tram will operate for skiing and riding from 9 am - 1 pm, with Little Cloud Express running until 2 pm. Only expert terrain will be available—there will be no beginner or intermediate terrain open. Due to rapid melting across the mountain, but specifically at lower elevations, open terrain will be limited to areas off Little Cloud Express. There will not be top-to-bottom skiing; guests will be asked to ride down the Tram at the end of their day. Please come prepared and ready to enjoy our last weekend of operations, and check the Mountain Report before heading up for any changes or updates!

2022-23 and 2023-24 Snowbird season passes will be valid, as well as the remaining days on the 2022-23 Ikon Pass and Mountain Collective Pass. Because Wasatch Benefits are not valid on weekends, you won't be able to utilize them; however, day tickets will be available for $89 online or at the ticket window.

Summer Activities

A boy enjoying summer activities at Snowbird

Get the most out of our activities by purchasing an All-Day Activity Pass and check out the status of each summer activity on our website the day of for the latest updates. We will also open our brand-new Tram rooftop balconies on June 17 for the summer. Available as an add-on to an All-Day Activity Pass, valid Snowbird season pass, lift ticket or Summer Scenic Tram Ride ticket, you won’t want to miss this summer-exclusive experience—they’re the only ones of their kind in the United States.
