Expose your 3- to 4-year-old to skiing and snowboarding in an approachable, exciting environment. Snowbird's Chickadee program offers experiential, creative and fun learning for your little ripper on the Chickadee Lift.

Book a Chickadee Lesson

• Ages: 3-4
  Must be willing to participate, fully potty trained and able to use the bathroom independently. No diapers or pull-ups, please.
• Skill Level: First Time to Intermediate
• Lesson Type: Group Lesson, 1:1 Ratio
• Includes: 2 hours with an instructor (1 hour in the morning and 1 hour in the afternoon), lift ticket valid for Chickadee Lift, lunch and snacks.
• Dates: December 12, 2026 - April 11, 2027
• Schedule: 
  Check-In Time: 8:30 - 9:30 am
  Check-Out Time: By 3 pm
• Meeting Location: Lesson Center, Snowbird Center, Level 2
• Equipment: Rentals are not included but can be purchased as an add-on at the time of purchase or directly before your lesson at the Mountain School Rental Shop. Participants can also use their own gear.

• Late Check-Out Option: Opt to pick up your kid at 4:30 pm instead of 3 pm from their lesson. They will spend their time with instructors in the Lesson Center, which is filled with toys and other fun kids' activities.

Students in youth lessons who are between 5 and 15 years old are grouped by age and ability to optimize their learning experience. For 5- to 6-year-olds, there is a 3:1 student-to-instructor ratio to ensure a hands-on lesson for skiers and snowboarders each time. Students 7-15 will be in a separate group. Children must be ready to ski all day and meet their instructors on the snow.
