Mountain Report

Terrain Opening & Operations Summary

Updated: Friday, 6:30 pm.

Good News: We're beginning to sound like a broken record here - it's going to snow. 6-10" tonight with another 2-4" possible tomorrow.

The Bad News: Once again, we're getting a windy snowstorm. Wind complicates the snowpack and makes opening terrain more difficult. New snow also means that driving conditions will snowpacked and slick. If you're headed up here this weekend, make sure your vehicle meets the requirements for winter travel.

What does this mean for Saturday? We're working to get the Aerial Tram open with Regulator Johnson and Gad Valley open first. Gad 2 should be open shortly after that with Peruvian Gulch following. Once we're comfortable with the frontside of the mountain we'll shift our attention towards Mineral Basin. As always, we'll make every attempt to open additional terrain as conditions permit. Temperatures look to be in the low 20's for Saturday with a bit of a breeze, so dress warm. Remember, it's a holiday weekend and we could see congestion issues in Little Cottonwood Canyon. We recommend carpooling. Did we mention our new ridesharing app is now live?
