Snowbird's 52nd Oktoberfest to Feature Expanded Offerings, A Larger Footprint and a Refreshed Look

Snowbird, Utah– Snowbird’s Oktoberfest, one of Utah’s largest festivals, will return every Saturday and Sunday, plus Labor Day, from Aug. 10 to Oct. 13, 2024. From 12 - 6 p.m., guests can enjoy traditional Bavarian fare, over 50 beer varieties, an array of local vendors, live music, face painting, over 20 summer activities and more.

This season’s Oktoberfest will feature expanded offerings, such as a larger festival footprint, an upgraded look and a focus on expanding dining options to accommodate a variety of tastes. Traditional Bavarian fare—such as Jaeger Schnitzel and Bratwursts—will be on the menu, alongside Oktoberfest-inspired twists on American classics, such as Flammekueche Pizza. Salt Flats Brewing’s Save the Lake Pilsner will be among the 50+ beer varieties available to guests, and a portion of the proceeds will be donated by the brewery to conservation efforts for the Great Salt Lake.

Der Marktplatz, the Oktoberfest vendor village, will be expanded to provide more space for guests to explore a variety of vendors. Vendors will rotate throughout the festival, offering a dynamic shopping experience.

Snowbird is also excited to introduce a brand-new event to complement Oktoberfest: the Brewer's Dinner Series. Taking place on select Fridays, this unique event includes an educational beer tasting hosted by a local brewer, a paired meal and live music at The Summit, Utah’s highest restaurant in elevation.

“We’re eager to welcome folks back to an enhanced rendition of the Oktoberfest they know and love,” said Snowbird President and General Manager Dave Fields. “With activities for guests of all ages, this can’t-miss cultural experience is the perfect way to escape the heat and enjoy the mountains.”

Admission to the festival is free; however, due to limited availability and to encourage carpooling, parking will cost $12 per vehicle. Guests are encouraged to download the Snowbird mobile app for parking inventory updates and the latest on-mountain information.

Events

Brewer’s Dinner Series, Aug. 16, 23, 30 & Sept. 6
Held on select Fridays, guests will embark on an Aerial Tram ride to Hidden Peak and participate in an educational tasting experience featuring unique beers from local brewers. Each dinner includes a deliberately paired meal and live music at The Summit.

Grand Oktoberfest Weekend, Aug. 30 – Sept. 2
Spanning Labor Day Weekend, this event pays tribute to the original Oktoberfest and celebration of The Grand Entry of the Breweries in Munich, Germany. Snowbird’s procession will end at the Oktoberfest Halle stage featuring a parade of musicians and dancers followed by a celebratory keg tapping.
