The only way to access Snowbird is via SR-210 in Little Cottonwood Canyon. Located a short drive from Salt Lake City International Airport, Snowbird is the ideal place to find a reprieve from the summer heat. 

Getting to Snowbird in Summer

Snowbird offers over 15 summer activities, including Summer Scenic Tram Rides, Peruvian Chairlift rides, the Ropes Course, the Mountain Coaster, Guided Hiking and more. Snowbird also offers rides atop the Tram on its rooftop balconies—the first of their kind in the United States—as an add-on for an additional cost.

An All-Day Activity Pass can be purchased online, 7 days or more in advance and provides unlimited access to Scenic Tram Rides, Peruvian Chairlift, the Mountain Coaster, ZipWhipper®, Ropes Course, Climbing Wall, Bungee Trampoline, Tree Climb, Spider Mountain and more for one low price. Some activities—like Gemstone Mining and Tram rooftop balcony access—are not included, but remain available for separate purchase.

Snowbird hosts one of the West's largest Oktoberfest celebrations. It is weeks of fun for the whole family, featuring activities, live music, traditional Bavarian fare, over 50 varieties of beer and an array of local vendors. This highly anticipated festival begins in August and lasts through mid-October, taking place every Saturday and Sunday, along with Labor Day.
